Cryptids Studios is a game studio consisting of 15 game designers, animators, and programmers from Drexel University, with a focus on creating narrative games.
History
Founded in 2024 by a team of senior students in Drexel University’s Westphal College of Media and Design, Cryptids Studios was brought together by the Digital Media Program’s senior thesis project, spanning multiple months of group effort. Their final product was to be a game called Spiral Peak, a queer narrative with themes of folklore and horror. Through many experimental builds and iterations, a more concrete concept for the game would eventually form.
